Deanna Jewel, formerly from Michigan, currently lives in Lewiston, Idaho, has been writing since 1991. She has completed one time travel and one historical novels, and has several others in the works. NEVER SURRENDER, her time travel romance, is now available in PRINT version and e-book for download. This novel won an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Quill Awards at Writing.com.
Twenty-five years in the insurance and securities business, ten of those years spent as an agent, lends to Deanna's knowledge of doing most of her own advertising and making her own contacts for sales. This background is excellent for making contacts associated with future book sales and publicity. Currently, she and her husband are franchise owners of five offices with a successful market to many diverse groups in their area.
She is married and has two daughters still living in Michigan. Deanna has enjoyed reading historicals for over thirty years, camping, and traveling. A trip years ago to Dubois, Wyoming, south of Yellowstone, inspired her current time-travel novel. The landscape and town locations described in NEVER SURRENDER are real. A professor at Boise State University translated the Shoshone language that you will find in the book.
Her writing goal is to draw the reader into the story to experience what the characters feel, to show both the hero's and heroine's points of view, and to take the reader away from their every day problems to a place not yet visited.
Her historical novel, No Turning Back, is due for release in June 2010.
